On June 20 and 21, 2026, Briones hosts a new edition of the Medieval Days, a Festival of National Tourist Interest, where the entire town is transformed to recreate life in the 14th century.

Throughout the weekend, its cobbled streets, squares, and manor houses become a large historical stage where more than 700 residents bring to life a carefully crafted medieval atmosphere.

The event is not a medieval market, but a historical reenactment focused on showcasing heritage, traditional crafts, and past customs.

Through more than 40 themed portals, visitors can discover what life was like in the Middle Ages: stonemasons, blacksmiths, spinners, carpenters, tanners, scribes, nobles, warriors, and many other now-disappeared or declining trades.

The program includes sword fights, medieval jousts, falconry displays, jesters, acrobats, musicians, standard bearers, Nasrid dancers, and historical scenes that bring every corner of the village to life.

As a new feature this year, the light and sound show “The Death of Don Pedro I” will premiere, performed by the local residents of the town.

All of this turns Briones into a living medieval village for two days, where visitors become the protagonists of history.

The Medieval Days are organized by the Briones Medieval Association, with the direct involvement of the town’s residents, who are the main driving force behind the event.

The commitment of the entire village is key to faithfully recreating the atmosphere, crafts, and performances that take place over the weekend.
