Baños de Rioja Cultural Week 2026

From 10 to 16 August 2026, Baños de Rioja celebrates a new edition of its Cultural Week, one of the highlights of the summer in La Rioja, bringing together locals and visitors with a varied programme of activities for all ages.

Throughout the week, the village will host food tastings, children's workshops, competitions, talks, open-air cinema, live music, traditional games, water activities and a wide range of cultural events, creating a lively atmosphere across the town.

This year's programme is especially significant as it coincides with the Total Solar Eclipse on 12 August. A public observation of this extraordinary astronomical event will take place from the Castillar Viewpoint, where eclipse glasses will be provided so everyone can enjoy the experience safely.

The Cultural Week will conclude on Sunday with the traditional Grandparents' Day, bringing to a close a week dedicated to sharing, celebrating and discovering the charm of Baños de Rioja.

  • 13:30 – Duck race on the River Oja.

  • 21:00 – Local trivia quiz in the main square.
  • 22:30 – Open-air cinema with popcorn.

  • 12:00 – Wild mushroom tasting.
  • 17:00 – Inflatable attractions, including water inflatables.
  • 19:30 – Total Solar Eclipse observation from Castillar Viewpoint (eclipse glasses provided).
